6 Ways To Look Younger Now

Share it Please
If you can spare 10 minutes then you can start your anti-ageing regime right now. Most of the best ways to look and feel younger are easy to fit into your life, require no pills or potions- and many of them are free! Here are six of the best anti-ageing strategies around:

1. USE SUNSCREEN
Repeated sun exposure leads to brown spots, fine wrinkles, deep creases and sagging skin. "The sun fast-forwards your ageing clock," says Dr Doris Day, clinical assistant professor of dermatology at New York University's Langone Medical Centre, in the US. "Around age 40 is when you cross the line - your collagen and elastic tissues have experienced enough damage to start showing a change. "Try Uriage's range of suncreens, formulated with Tinosorb M- a high performance ingredient that provides protection from UVA and UVB rays, and is suitable for sensitive skin. From RM 79.90 to RM 99.00, at Watsons. I recommend you to use Banana Boat suncreen product. It's more convenient, cheaper and good quality too.

2. LAUGH
Not only do happy people and optimists live longer, laughter is thought to have a positive effect on blood pressure. In 2006, researchers at University Maryland, in the US, found that while watching the funny film, the blood flow of 19 out of 20 of the study's participants increased by more 20 percent, but blood flow decreased while they watched the streesful opening sequence of the war film Saving Private Ryan.

3. EXERCISE
Physical activity is essential for weight control. The unhealthy effects of being overweight are all well documented from increased risk of cardiovascular disease, to type 2 diabetes and some cancers. Regular exercise boosts metabolism, elevates your mood, strengthens muscles and joints, and helps you sleep better. It's also known to boost immunity, banish depression and keep bone healthy, which is particularly important for women after menopause. Aim to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. ( Ohh gosh, so long I had leave my exercise routine, Im gonna start it back (๏̯͡๏ ) )

4. NURTURE YOUR RELATIONSHIP

What the world's longest living people have in common - as selling book longevity, The Blue Zones, discovered - is a powerful connection to their communities. It's believe that people who are socially connected have stronger immune systems and are less likely to be depressed- and happy people live longer. Similarly, married couples live longer than singles. It is believed that are partner plays a significant role in noticing health changes, such a skin changes or persistent coughs, as well as being accountable for lifestyle factors, such as being overweight, smoking, or drinking too much. ( I want a boyfriend !! Who wants to be ? Hihi )

5. EAT RIGHT

When it comes to anti ageing superfoods, the word is antioxidants. The good news : dark chocolate, red wine and coffee are all high in these essential antioxidants. However, moderation is key. Restricting kilojoules  may also slow ageing- research on mice indicates that reducing kilojoule intake by up 60 percent may increase longevity by up 25 percent. The bottom line is : Eat plenty of brightly coloured, fresh, unprocessed foods and stop eating once you are 80 percent satisfied.

6. SLEEP
This plays a role not only in anti-ageing but in brain health, obesity and depression as well. It has to do with the hormone melatonin, which is produced while you sleep and is integral to the normal functioning of our internal clocks. Fatigue also causes the stress hormone cortisol to rise sharply. " If cortisol is chronically high, it can age you by breaking down collagen in skin," explains Dr Amy Wechsler, dermatologist, psychiatrist and author of The Mind Beauty Connection.
